BREAST ULTRASOUND

Breast ultrasound or breast ultrasonography is a test that concerns all women and helps diagnose various issues such as:

• Detecting tumors or other abnormalities related to the breast and chest.

It is also worth pointing out that ultrasound acts as a complement to mammography and not as a substitute.

Breast Utrasound is a bloodless, painless and relatively a simple test, providing a very reliable result, but it depends very much on the doctor – equipment operator to make the correct assessment of the findings.

Ideally, the patient should have the latest mammography with her (within one year), as well as earlier breast imaging tests. (ultrasound or magnetic)
