Kidney ultrasound is a diagnostic exam which enables the imaging examination of the structure, size and thickness of the kidney cortex, the calyx pelvic system and the ureters. At the same time, a vascular assessment is performed. This examination is done to investigate possible kidney pathology and is not painful at all.
